Thank You to USPS!

Clerk Holsclaw Says Thank You to USPS!

On Monday, January 9th, Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw and Election Center Co-Director James Young invited the United States Postal Service to the Election Center to thank them for their service to our department and to our customers.

The summer of 2016 brought a move from the Urban Government Center to the Edison Center at 7th and Ormsby. This happened when the 2016 Presidential Election procedures were just beginning. USPS made sure that not only we, but our customers, were taken care of. They processed approximately 31,000 pieces of “Official Election Mail” for our office in under 3 months. This number does not include Voter Registration Cards, Election Officer Training Notices, Credentials, and Election Officer paychecks.

County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw presented the USPS management and staff with a “VIP” License Plate to display at their Downtown Station location. At the Clerk’s Office, VIP stands for Value, Integrity, and Performance. We believe USPS’s dedication to the election process shows the same type of commitment that the Clerk’s Office strives for each day.
