Live Broadcast: Mail-In Absentee Ballot Processing — May 2026 Primary Election

Pursuant to KRS 117.087, the Jefferson County Board of Elections or their duly appointed designees will process mail-in absentee ballots for the May 19, 2026 Primary Election beginning Tuesday, May 5, 2026 and continuing through Election Day. As part of the Clerk's Office's ongoing commitment to election transparency, a livestream of the processing room will be available on this page during scheduled processing hours.


Daily Processing Schedule May 5 – May 19, 2026 — Monday through Friday

Session Hours (Eastern)
Morning 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lunch break — no broadcast 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The livestream may end early on any given day, or may not begin at all, if all received ballots have already been processed.

Note on Results

In accordance with KRS 117.087, no vote tallies or partial results from absentee ballot processing will be released or made public before 6:00 PM Eastern Time on Election Day, May 19, 2026.
