Who? Registered Republicans and Democrats in Jefferson County who have not changed their party affiliation within the last year. What? Election officers work on Election Day. Each election officer is compensated $25.00 for attending a 2.5 hour training session and $125.00 for working Election Day. When? Primary Election -May 22, 2012 Why? Each polling location requires two Republican and two Democratic workers to ensure the voting process is carried out in a fair and legal manner. How?
